School Workshops - World Art

Craftastic is an arts and crafts company providing creative experiences for all ages, run by CBeebies ‘SMarteenies’ presenter Bizi Lizi.

Craftastic provides arts and crafts experiences within the school environment. All activities are linked to the Art National Curriculum schemes of work and can be tailored to suit the particular school requirements.

This workshop can be devised depending on the country or culture being studied. Examples shown are Mexican Art and Caribbean arts and crafts. The workshop can be either a one off day or, as in the Mexican work; can be run for a few weeks.

The session would involve looking at examples of work from the specific country or region. The children would discuss elements related to that country and how that could be incorporated into their work.

This workshop could be painting, sculpture or a combination of both. It could be a whole class workshop or a variety of activities created in small groups. The outcome could be one large scale piece or individual artworks.

The above descriptions are an outline of how the workshops could be run. All workshops are subject to detailed discussion with the class and head teacher to ensure the project will work within the school curriculum.

Craftastic can provide art activities for children from nursery and foundation stage to year 6. All activities are created with the particular children in mind. Craftastic aims to provide the highest quality of creative experience with the widest range of materials.
